Monica Harding and the Lib Dem team want to bring a fresh start for Surrey
Residents of Elmbridge are looking forward to a brighter 2021 by choosing a new compassionate and competent County Council that fully represents the communities it serves.
Conservative controlled Surrey Council is out of touch. Local services are failing, schools are underfunded, businesses are struggling and our care homes are in crisis.
Our Elmbridge community has already been hit hard by Covid, with a 250% increase in Universal Credit claimants in the five months from February to August 2020.
Instead of standing up for you, Surrey leaders backed the Government’s incompetent handling of the pandemic, leaving businesses uncompensated when we entered Tier 2 in October.
We need a fresh start. We need a County Council that cares for
its residents and committed, energetic Councillors who will
help our community get back on its feet.
