Baker Street Car Park

20 Jul 2015

Following requests for better access to the path behind Morrisons from Baker Street Car Park, I asked for the railing to be removed and a parking space to be set aside for pedestrians. Railings The administration does not want to remove the railings because it does not want to establish a right of way across the car park into the store.  The administration's objective is to maximize the value of the land it owns and a right of way could considerably reduce that value. Path access The administration has accepted that the access to the path should be made easier and the borough's parking services team are in the process of 'packaging' the proposal with a few other areas to try and ensure economy of scale and best value.  There is no specific timescale at the moment, but they expect it will take another few weeks to finalise these elements.
