Lib Dem led Elmbridge Borough Council has partnered with Wild Capital, a company specialising in Biodiversity, to create Surrey's first and only habitat Bank. The project is located in Cobham, inside the River Mole Biodiversity Opportunity Area, and is listed in the national Biodiversity Net Gain register.

The Lib Dem group on the Council have been active in pushing for climate positive projects like the biodiversity bank. Protecting our natural environment is a priority for the Lib Dems both here in Elmbridge and on the wider Surrey County Council.

This ambitious project demonstrates Elmbridge Borough Council's commitment to conserving our local environment, and protecting biodiversity. This bank will serve as a benchmark for future projects across Elmbridge.
