On 10th September, Monica Harding wrote to Dominic Raab about the Government's Internal Market Bill proposals.

‘I asked him what had happened to the "excellent" and "oven-ready" Brexit deal that had trumpeted during the 2019 Election Campaign and why the Government was now prepared to renege on that deal, flout international law, risk peace in Northern Ireland and wreck our reputation on the world stage. Here's his reply, which he hopes will provide "clarity and reassurance". Given his Government whipped Conservative MPs in Parliament on Tuesday night to oppose an amendment to that Bill that would require "Ministers to respect the rule of law and uphold the independence of the courts", his answer is neither clear nor reassuring. ‘
