Although the notices say that there will be road works for six months in Monument Hill the really serious disruption should be more limited and in the holidays. There will be two-way traffic lights in place on Monument Hill on the following dates - 12 May for one week, 16 June for two weeks, 11 August for four weeks. Let us trust that Surrey sets the timing of the lights to reflect the demand (west bound traffic will find other routes to travel west more easily than eastbound can travel east.) It is all in the way the local streets connect up. By being more in tune with the traffic the amount of congestion will be lowered.
