Street Flooding
I was at the Surrey Local Committee today. As part of the aim to assess drainage problems The chairman asked that all known street drainage problems be reported. The staff member concerned asked not for locations of blocked drains but places where significant amounts of water collected on the side of the street and does not drain away. An example of what not to mention is a blocked drain on a hill where the rain water simply passes over one blocked drain and flows into the next one down the hill. If you know of such a location please send to me, or your county councillor Christian Mahne, before the end of June. A photo would be useful.
