Weybridge Police Update
Going away this summer or simply having a stacation in Weybridge - remember that the emergency number for ambulance, fire or police is 112 everywhere from a land line or your mobile. Even from your locked mobile phone. If you have a new car and you have a crash, which is severe enough to cause an airbag to activate, your car will automatically call the emergency services wherever you are in Europe (unfortunately this service does not work in Britain yet - the British government felt that we could cope without it!). But it will work anywhere else in the Union. Locally the Weybridge police is conducting speed checks and enforcements on various roads. Around 18 drivers are pending prosecution for speeding. Leisure Live in Weybridge's Brooklands Community Park On 3 August 2013 from 11:00 to 16:00. . There will be many participants including major cycling organisations, the police and other local agencies.
Cycle Race runs through Weybridge on Sunday 4 August.
The route is Oatlands Drive, Monument Hill, High Street, Church Street, Heath Road, Brooklands Road, and Byfleet Road. If you live on the actual race route itself, you will not be able to drive your car out of your driveway on the race day. Monument Green will have Fun day organised by the Business Group of Weybridge. This will include the police, local businesses, aeroplane displayed by Mercedes Benz. Come along and enjoy!
